In the body finite, the soul resides, 

The being with senses, its time it bides,

Temporary happiness through thoughts and dreams,

Countless memories, like rippling streams

                            Seeking permanence in impermanence of life

                            The human made of The Elements Five

Ethereal essence, unbound and free,

Watch galaxies twinkle, in quiet reverie,

Transcending the tangible, and intangible sublime, 

Inner cosmos dances, in celestial rhyme,

                            Unite with SPACE, just be alive,

                            One’s life and The Elements Five.

A gentle breeze, stirs your soul,

Dreams in its whisper, a fluttering scroll,

Thoughts take flight, like birds in the sky,

On wings of imagination, one soars up high,

            Breathe the AIR, the soul does revive,

            One’s life and the Elements Five.

Ablaze with passion, burning within,

A radiant spirit, igniting the skin,

Through trials and tribulations, one does emerge,

With a fierce burst, the soul would surge,

            Embrace this FIRE, and for learning strive,

            One’s life and the Elements Five.

A river’s flow, courses through your veins,

Emotions just patter, like unceasing rains,

Deep currents of empathy and compassions reside,

In depths of your being, a serene tide,

                            Immerse yourself and into the WATER dive,

                            One’s life and the Elements Five

Steadfast and firm, forms your base,

A foundation of strength, like a mother’s embrace,

Resilient and grounded, one weathers life’s storms,

With determination and courage, your spirit transforms,

            Rooted in EARTH, the bodies thrive,

            One’s life and the Elements Five.

In your true being, these elements blend,

In its infinite embrace, your life does depend,

Countless blessings, and His infinite grace,

The immensity of the Universe, in awe we gaze,

            Absolute Bliss and Consciousness – the Essence of life

            You Are That, wrapped in the Elements Five

The Scene – One early morning after my walk. The clear vast expanse of the blue skies, a light breeze, the chirping of the birds, the touch of the first rays of the sun, dew drops in the grass and my feet planted on the sand, all came together and made me realize, how the Five Elements are part of every moment of my life. Simultaneously the question – Who am I? popped up. And then words rushed in my head about this finite body and the infinite Self. The verses came to fruition on 12th June 2023.
